I feel like I've been neglecting everything here and that I haven't been honest to you enough. Truth is, I go to this weird online school in which the teachers don't control exactly when we get something done, so sometimes you fall behind in your studies - which is what happened to me. I've caught up now, so I've been putting more effort into my art and literature. This is what I meant whenever I used to say I got "behind in my schoolwork".
Now on why I haven't posted much of that, is because most of my pictures are regarding stories I don't want to post on the internet yet - and may or may not be spoilerific. So, I'm stalling on that, which is a problem because most all of my pictures are inspired by stories I've dedicated myself to. (I have done a picture or two recently that don't involve my stories, so maybe I'll post those.) On a happier note, I am doing a big picture illustrating a short story that I am very happy with, so I hope that I get that done soon and post both together for you to see. The illustration is taking a very long time, see!
On the topic of my work, I've also been working with my big sister to make a Wordpress site to host my work from and hopefully draw some income from before I graduate, though I'm not getting my hopes up yet. (I can dream, though, right?) This is probably where most of my professional works are going to be given their first release, because frankly, lit rarely gets as much attention as paintings and illustrations on dA, and I want that to be at the forefront of my portfolio. The illustrations are a supplement.
With that said... How have you been doing? Any plans? I want to be back in the loop again.

Getting back up to speed... Kinda.

I've vanished completely for what must've been over six months, with no warning for you guys. It's ridiculous, I know.
There was something really urgent going on for a while and I didn't bother to take the time to give you a heads-up. (Or did I? I can't remember.) School has started again, and I've set myself goals for my career. Those two things are at the top of my priority list. I'm sorry, but dA is being lowered on the priority list. (or not)
This doesn't mean that I'm not going to be around. I'm just not going to be around as much. I'll post stuff if it is relevant to my current priorities. Anyone who was really eager to see my stuff for #PMDUnity, sorry, but that's not relevant. I might try to catch up with everyone else eventually. I'm let down too, I had really cool ideas for it, but that's just not high enough to be something I'll take too seriously. No promises, guys.
I'm not going to say exactly what I'll be looking to do in the future, because nobody will care enough to read it and it'll be like spoilers. (You know how book nerds are about spoilers.)
As for better news, I have set up my workspace to multitask on school and art. Hopefully, I'll be able to be more productive in the future because of this. I'm almost to a point where I can begin publishing my professional works and if things continue smoothly (which they rarely ever do, because it seems that fate likes to grab popcorn and laugh as we tear our hairs out) then expect things to begin picking up again by late 2014 or early 2015. Don't ask me to do collaborations, art trades, or commissions, I'm too busy with my own things here. I have a bucketload of ideas I want to put to use in the future, and I can't do that if I'm flooded with requests from other people, which is frankly very unlikely but whatever I'm telling you anyway.
If you're wondering why I haven't looked at your stuff or replied to comments, then now you know why.
Other things:
- I also had another thing going on with a friend of mine where I was supposed to be helping him edit and improve his work, and dude, I'll say it right here; if I am holding you back, then please go about finding another editor. Digital editors are great for the technical stuff. I'll be honest; I've tried to continue the conversation twice, I swear, but my work is always lost in the end. If you honestly want me to pick the project up again, then fine, let me know and I'll attempt juggling it again; if you don't, either tell me or ignore my message entirely, that's fine too.
- I'm looking into using WordPress to host a site to showcase and sell my writing on; if anyone here has any tips, it'd be great if you could share.

Working in the Background

Top of the morning to ya.
I know I kind of just...Vanished on you guys recently. My message boxes are packed with Deviations, journal entries, and comments that have gone without any sort of a reply for months on end. But I'm not dead, and I sure haven't forgotten about what's going on over here. I'm still checking in every now and again, but for the most part I've been staying out of sight and out of mind.
But that's not to say that I haven't been working on anything! I've been hacking away at my school assignments, fighting back a lack of inspiration for my drawings and a new e-serial I'm working on getting set up so that I can actually make some profit off of my work. I haven't tried to create any sort of website for my work yet because I'm still editing the first chapter and writing the second, but believe me, it's coming! I've shown the first chapter's draft to family and so far I've been getting good feedback, so hopefully it does as well on the internet.
Regardless, I hope you can hold yourselves over while all that's going on and are looking forward to seeing what I can do. If you want a rough idea, then you can look at my work for PMDUnity, but I'm not taking that as seriously so don't expect anything particularly fantastic.
